Sydney: Day 8

Finally arrived at LCCT, Kuala Lumpur after 13 days at Australia


Departed from Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport to Melbourne Tullamarine Airport via Jet Star. Departed from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport to Low Cost Carrier Terminal, Kuala Lumpur International Airpory via Air Asia X.

Our flight from Sydney to Melbourne was delayed for two hours which caused us delay to check-in for flight to Malaysia. Unfortunately, one of the delegation members lost his mobile phone during the safety inspection.

We learnt that we have to be cautious with our personal belongings while undergoing safety inspection at the airport to avoid personal loss due to self-careless.

We also learnt that it is advisable to expect flight delays in your itinerary so that you will not miss the next flight to your destination when you transit for planes.

Sydney: Day 7

During our last day in Australia before departing back to Malaysia, we decided to buy souvenirs at Paddy’s Market in Sydney. Paddy’s Market opens on weekdays starting Wednesday and ends on Sunday. There were so many items sold such as key chains, shirts and Australia souvenirs.

After than, we went for our final tour around Sydney but this time, we went to the sides of the city that we have never been to like The Rocks, Star City and Darling Harbour.









In the evening, we went to one of Sydney’s famous beaches which is Maroubra Beach. The beach is located half an hour from our accommodation in East Lakes.

We observed that Australians knew how to promote their country by producing and selling Australia souvenirs. From clothing, accessories, stationeries and home decorations with Australia labels and designs on it, these items are Australia ambassador to the world in effort of promoting Australia as tourist centre of attraction.

The scenery was different compare with Malaysia’s beach as the water is clearer and colder. Moreover, Maroubra beach is facing Pacific Ocean which differ than Malaysia beaches as they are facing South China Sea and Strait of Malacca. Maroubra Beach and is one of the surfer hot-spot in Sydney apart from Bondi Beach.

Sydney: Day 6

Today, we walked to Strand Arcade. Strand Arcade is a shopping arcade housing many shops. As we walked into the building, we saw that there were many people performing their talent in front of audience. We all were all enjoyed by the performance.







At night, we had dinner at Kak Nani’s house. During dinner, we discussed the on Malaysian Students Department Australia (MSDA).



MSDA vision is to ensure that the administration of higher education at Australia's Institute of Higher Education would fulfill the needs of individuals, the community and the workforce, as required by the National Education Philosophy of Malaysia while its mission is to be fully committed in administrating and assisting all Malaysian Students affairs in order to produce qualified skilled graduates, which meet the nation's aspiration.

At the moment, MSDA is directed by Dr. Mohd Nasir Mohd Hassan and it administrate two Malaysia Halls in Australia, one in Sydney and the other one in Melbourne.

We learnt that it took a great deal of confidence to perform in front of large crowd and to convince your audience with your talent.

We learnt the function of MSDA and how MSDA assists the Malaysian students studying abroad in terms of students welfare in Australia.
